Everyone had a great day We decided on bishop as it's quite a flexible site for WSE to NW forecasts. A whole pile of us, plus hangies and sailplanes were doing the bishop to west lomond run, oh and tony spirling did it in his canoe..(harness). It was pretty windy at first and Zeno Jitka and I were staying well out over kinneswood at first before eventually the wind veered for a bit allowing the climb outs along the ridge to west lomond and a load more pilots to lob off I reckon there were around 20 pilots out, including a few folk who haven't been out for while... and one guy dominic (on the orange Swing arcus) who had his first ever Scottish flight after qualifying abroad... 3 hours or so.. superb... ! It was excellent to look at the highlands and back to Edinburgh as we circled in thermals... in February Brian |
