The weather was wet and/or windy this weekend. So I took the opportunity to neaten up some of the loose stiching on my new harness, adjust my speedbar, reposition my back protection and repack my reserve parachute.

The paragliding reserve parachute: Edel RS2 / RSII. I threw the reserve on Saturday in the local park and left it hanging in my flat to air until Monday night. I have to say it looks very nice and well made when it is open. There was a slight breeze which made it really hard to hold on to so I have been reassured that it will slow me down.

I was unable to find a repack manual for it online, since the Edel website seems to be broken, but I did manage to get a copy of an old version of the manual for an SR3 / SRIII (no pictures) from a friend in the Scottish Mountain Paragliding Club (SMPC). The RS2 and SR3 packing procedures are apperently similar enough.

This is only the second time I have packed a reserve parachute and it is the first time I have done it alone. I took a number of photos to allow others to review and provide feedback.
