Jitka, Graham, Jamie and myself decided to follow Brian's call and all went to the Lakes for a chance of some thermaling. Not too bad for the end of October :)

Blease Fell / Jenkin area. We were rewarded with sunny weather, near perfect southerly winds, great thermals - with Zeno claiming the strongest core of over 5 m/s :) - and a cloudbase at 1000m. Not too bad going for October :-). We spent several hours flying around, most of us successfully jumping from Blease Fell and Blencathra to Skidaw and Jenkin and back. The younger 3/5 of us tried some more active piloting after venturing to Jamie's side of a hill - learning :). A great day for all.

It was good to see so many of the local pilots below us for a lot of the time! Jitka and Brian both got some good triangle  (the type that don't go "ding") flights.

A great day out and entertaining evening in Keswick too.
